The experience and academic credentials of our staff provide you with the expertise of larger firms, while our commitment to superior customer service offers a personal, one-on-one approach.                                           Pat Smith, CPA - pat@faas.com  Certified Public Accountant Pat received his accounting degree from Ohio University.  He became a Certified Public Accountant as well as a General Securities Representative.  He was the vice President of Finance and Chief Finance Officer of Acute Care Medical Surgery Hospital prior to acquiring FAAS.  Pat is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He is a fellow of the American Board of Forensic Accounting and is a court-approved appraiser of descendant's estates in Athens County, Ohio.  He uses his expertise on financial planning * and consulting with clients as well as preparing personal and corporate tax returns.   Alex Couladis, CPA -  alex@faas.com Certified Public Accountant Alex completed his degree in finance at Marietta College.  He then joined the public accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company of Columbus, Ohio where he remained until 1979.  For two years Alex worked for the multi-national AccuRay Corporation as the head of their Internal Audit Department. In 1981 Alex returned to Athens, Ohio and became the sole owner of Alex Couladis, CPA.  He merged his firm with Financial Accounting and Advisory Services in the summer of 2000 Terry Kennedy, CPA - terry@faas.com Certified Public Accountant Terry graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with her BS in mathematics.  She went on to attend one of the top 25 business schools in the United States, where she achieved her MBA in finance from the University of Maryland. She migrated to Ohio in 2002 and worked as an accountant in Pomeroy, Ohio.  Terry joined FAAS in 2003 and is a vital addition to the experienced staff.  She lends her expertise to the variety of services that we provide; including financial statements, personal and corporate tax returns.     Karen Morris - karen@faas.com Staff Accountant Karen completed her associates degree in accounting in 1986 from Hocking Technical College.  In 1989 she joined the staff of Harold Brown, CPA which would eventually become Financial Accounting & Advisory Services. Karen's main contributions to the firm include quarterly payroll taxes, financial statements, personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns.  In her spare time you may find her traveling all over the US competing in bowling tournaments.   Karen Smith - ks@faas.com Accounts Receivable            Michelle McGee-Moore - michelle@faas.com Administrative Assistant & Technology Information Michelle began her career in the secretarial field directly out of High School.  She worked at Defense Supply Center Columbus for eight years, starting as a Clerk Typist and rising to the position of Procurement Assistant.  She moved to California and worked in the Silicon Valley at a nationwide .com company for three years as the Administrative Assistant to the VP of Sales and Marketing.  Back in Ohio, she began working at FAAS in February of 2003.  Michelle is an excellent multi-tasker and in any given day she may be answering telephone calls, processing tax returns and payroll taxes, completing accounts payable and accounts receivable for clients, or working on a computer tech. problem.  Whatever the task, Michelle helps us get things done.     June Clark - june@faas.com Administrative Assistant June joined the FAAS team in May of 2005.  She is originally from Piqua, Ohio.  A transfer through her previous career brought her to Athens.  After serving for twelve years on the Highway Patrol as a trooper, June wanted a change of pace.  She now manages our front office.  She is our receptionist; sorts & distributes mail, processes tax returns and city, state, and IRS notices.  She also takes care of the accounts payable for the firm. June enjoys working with the clients and strives to provide excellent service.
